Going Analog

Sometimes I want to be able to touch images. I mean the need for paper prints instead of pixels on the monitor. The first result of this need are 100 paper prints of photos I like. I got the shipment a today and the quality is really great.
The last days I spent several hours to sort my photos in categories like Humans, Food, Ruins, Dead Animals etc. This is a whole bunch of work and so far I finished only the years 2006 - 2004. Because I bought my first digital camera back in 1998 there are several thousand images left.
To be honest I don’t know exactly what to do with the paper prints. Probably I will put some of them into frames and they will end up on a wall in my apartment. But what I know is that several hundred pictures are about to be printed, too.

  3. Hi!

I would like to extend my compliments. I scrolled through your site, and sure enough, there are some great images. It’s a known truism that the only way to get better, is to practice and keep on plugging away. In your case, your images really look great, which shows that you’ve developed a very good eye.

I learned about your work today, and I’m really impressed.

In my case, I began in February 2004, and I’m exploring the self-portrait... 350 conceptually different self-portraits, made every week until September 2010. In case you're curious, please go here: http://ranhasa.typepad.com/photos/350rans/index.html

I realize that all of this might make me sound pretty silly or random. Regardless, great to see your work

    Take care,
